Settle in for a thoughtfully curated flight of three wines, presented and discussed by our knowledgeable team. Each tasting is shaped by your group's chosen membership tier, giving everyone a shared lens through which to explore varietals, regions, and styles — whether you're discovering great everyday values or diving deep into age-worthy cellar selections.
Each event is built around one of our four membership offerings. All participants in a single tasting must select the same membership tier to ensure a cohesive experience.
Explore what we consider the best value picks in the shop. Your group will choose either white or red varietals, and we'll present three of our standout values. For each wine, we'll discuss the region, grape(s), and vintage — and explain exactly why we feel it delivers exceptional quality for the price.
Your group selects a region and a grape variety, and we'll present three wines that capture how that particular region expresses that varietal. A perfect option for groups who want to dig into terroir and develop a deeper understanding of how place shapes a wine.
Discover a single grape variety expressed across different growing regions of the world — all at reserve-quality production. We'll compare texture, color, palate, and overall expression side by side, revealing how the same grape can tell remarkably different stories depending on where it's grown.
Reserved for those building or refining a cellar, this tasting features three wines selected to complement the collector's palate. Chosen from our very best age-worthy bottles, these are wines we believe will gain complexity and enjoyment over time. We'll discuss optimal drinking windows and share insights from the winemakers themselves.
A membership is required for each participant in the tasting, and all participants in a single event must select the same membership tier. Memberships can be purchased individually by each guest or arranged together by the event organizer at the time of booking.
Tastings are confirmed once all participant memberships are purchased. We recommend booking at least one week in advance to allow time for membership processing and wine preparation. For groups with special interests or specific wine preferences, please note details when booking and our team will do our best to accommodate.
Because our private wine tastings are offered complimentary as a benefit of Lou & Birdie membership, the following policy applies to all bookings:
Cancellations must be submitted at least 3 days (72 hours) in advance of your scheduled tasting. All cancellation requests must be sent via email to jonny@louandbirdie.com.
As private wine tastings are complimentary and provided as a membership benefit, no refunds or reimbursements will be issued for cancelled or missed tastings.
Membership sign-ups are non-refundable and are not included under this cancellation policy. All membership benefits remain active for the full one year term, regardless of tasting attendance.
We understand that schedules change. When possible, we are happy to reschedule your private tasting to another available date and time. Rescheduling requests are subject to calendar availability and must also be submitted via email to jonny@louandbirdie.com at least 3 days in advance.
Tastings cancelled with less than 3 days' notice, or missed without prior notice, will be considered fulfilled and cannot be rescheduled.
