Because even great steak deserves a few ground rules.

Welcome to Lou & Birdie! We’re a small, proud operation built on fresh cuts, honest work, and good food shared with good people. These Terms & Conditions outline how we do business — simple, fair, and always with a side of humor. By visiting our website, placing an order, or picking up your steaks, you agree to the following terms.

1. Orders & Payments

When you place a pre-order with Lou & Birdie, you’re reserving fresh, perishable products prepared specifically for you. Once your order is confirmed, it’s considered final.

All payments are due at the time of ordering. We accept the payment methods listed on our site — usually the normal ones (you know, not IOUs or promises).

Because our steaks are custom-cut and perishable, no cancellations, changes, or refunds can be made after purchase.

2. Pick-Up Policy

All orders must be picked up during our regular business hours:
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

If you’re unable to pick up your steaks during that time, don’t panic — we’ll freeze your order and hold it for one additional week.

After that, unclaimed orders will be forfeited without refund. We’ll be sad to see them go, but we can’t hold perishable items forever.

3. Product Quality

We take pride in offering premium, fresh-cut steaks that are handled with care. Because our products are natural and never mass-produced, some variation in color, texture, or marbling is completely normal — and delicious.

If something doesn’t look right at pickup, please let us know immediately so we can make it right on the spot. Once your order leaves our premises, it’s considered accepted and final.

4. Our Promise to You

We’ll always do our best to:

  • Deliver the freshest steaks possible,

  • Communicate clearly about pickup times,

  • Treat our customers with respect and honesty.

We ask that you do your part, too — by picking up your order on time, keeping your confirmation handy, and handling your steaks with care once they’re home.

5. Website & Information

We do our best to keep all prices, product photos, and descriptions accurate and up-to-date. Occasionally, we may make updates or small changes without prior notice — but always in the spirit of improving your experience.

6. Fair Use & Conduct

Please use our website responsibly. Don’t misuse our content, try to hack our systems, or do anything that would make your grandma shake her head.

7. Agreement

By placing an order or using our website, you acknowledge that you’ve read and agree to these Terms & Conditions. They’re here to keep everything fair, simple, and neighborly.
